The Saved Searches functionality allows you to save your ipage searches so they can be easily re-run as needed to find new titles that meet your saved search criteria. This does not merely save the list of ISBNs/EANs associated with the search result--it saves the criteria behind the search itself.
Save a Search
1. You are able to save searches generated from Simple, Power, Reading Program, Bible, Boolean, and Hard-to-Find Books searches, and also from those generated by the Browse by Category (all) and Browse by Theme functions.
TIP: The Saved Searches functionality does not apply to lists found under the Collection Development tab or to online catalogs. That is because those results are not based on search criteria but on lists of ISBNs/EANs.
2. From your Search Results page, click the Save Search link at the top of the page, next to the List/Order Options link, to save your search.
3. You will be prompted to Create a New Search or Replace an Existing Search.
4. To Create a New Search, enter the Name of the search in the Name box and a Description (optional) of the search in the Description box. Click the Save button to save your search.
5. You can also save your search as a replacement for an existing search. Select the name of the search you wish to replace from the Replace an Existing Search drop-down box. Enter a Description (optional) of the search in the Description box. Click the Save button to save your search.
Access a Saved Search
1. Click Saved Searches under the Shortcuts section on the left side of the home page or go to the Browse and Search tab and click the Saved Searches link. You will be taken to the Saved Searches page, and ipage will display a list of your saved searches.
TIP: For each saved search, you will see the Search Name, Search Description, Last Accessed Date, and a link that will allow you to Delete the search.
2. Click a Search Name to execute a search. ipage will a return a list of titles that meet your search criteria.
TIP: Saved searches are automatically purged 13 months from the last-accessed date.
3. To edit a saved search, click a Search Name to execute your search. Make any desired refinements to your search using the Refine Options located to the left of your Search Results, and click the Save Search link to save the edited search as a new search or as a replacement for an existing search.
TIP: You may save a search from any point and on any page in your Search Results. For example, you could Browse by Theme, then Refine by page, and then Refine by binding. You can save your search from any point during this process.
