Trick or Treat
By Kerry Greenwood
Bolinda Publishing - Audiobook
Bolinda Audiobooks have a special appeal for me. So many of their narrators have such delightful Australian accents and read so well. This audiobook is no exception. Louise Siversen does a wonderful job with this novel.
Readers will be most familiar with Kerry Greenwood's series featuring Phryne Fisher. This new series is also a mystery with many of the signature characteristics that make for a good read. The novel has everything we love about cozy mysteries: cats, crime, and good-looking men. Corinna Chapman is a baker with a penchant for solving cases. She must contend with a big new chain bakery, Best Fresh Bread, competing with her Earthly Delights, while she also fears that her relationship with significant-other Daniel is in trouble. Readers and listeners of cozy mysteries will find a treat here.--Norma Lilly
