Popular Series: Youth - Additions
Three new series from Simon and Schuster are now available on the Youth Popular Series Standing Order Program.
The first, Marvelous World, is a paper-over-board hardcover series targeting readers 10 and up with special appeal to African-American boys seeking action-packed fantasy. Louis Proof, the young hero, appears to be an ordinary inner-city kid who loves eating, hip-hop, and just hanging-out with friends. His world dramatically changes when he suddenly becomes a CLE--a Celestial-Like Entity--who must use his special powers to save the ordinary world as he knows it from beings set on destroying it.
The second is Al's World, a paperback series from Aladdin. Written at a second grade level, this series is perfect for reluctant middle school readers. The smart humor and action, geared toward boys, revolves around Al and his best friend Keith. These two guys are definitely not the smartest kids in school. Al's world should make the readers' world much more interesting.
Sleepover Squad is ideal for girls ages six to nine. In each book, second-going-on-third grade girls tackle age appropriate issues--fears, annoying brothers, new friends, etc. Inspiring activities are also suggested for readers.
It's easy to sign up for new youth series right here from the newsletter--just give us your desired quantities and customer information, and a Collection Development associate will e-mail you to confirm your changes.
