May 2008--Volume VI, Issue 5

Each month, our Further Developments newsletter brings information and updates to your Standing Order and Continuations Programs, forthcoming audiobooks and reviews, and our Readers Advisory section, which includes author interviews, recommendations, and critiques. The navigation above this paragraph will help you get to the sections you need. Please Note:  Ingram’s popular Standing Order and Continuations Programs have moved to ipage®.  To access these lists, just log on to ipage and click on the Programs & Catalogs tab.

We have added a new section to the newsletter focusing exclusively on video content. Please visit this Sight & Sound tab to find the latest in video news, updates on upcoming video releases, and additions and changes to the video standing order program.

Has Ingram ever considered posting blogs or podcasts on the Web?

--Interested, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Earlier this month we launched our new social networking Web site, interact.  interact is an online library community powered by Ingram Library Services. It gives librarians direct access to our collection development team and product buyers as well as interviews with today’s authors. The site features podcasts recorded by key industry experts from Ingram plus blogs with insight on what’s hot and what’s not in the library world.

Recently, we welcomed Barbara Walters, legendary TV host and news anchor, to our La Vergne, Tennessee, facility. While in our offices, our own Editorial Manager, Amy Cox Williams, sat down with Ms. Walters for a one-on-one interview to discuss her upcoming memoir, Audition.  Visit ingramlibrary.com/interact to listen to the interview and learn more about interact.
