Three sleek new series come on the scene this spring and early summer:
Publisher Kensington, via its imprint Dafina, has launched the Del Rio Bay Clique Novels.
The first title, So Not the Drama, deals with issues regarding race, class, and popularity.
Boy Shopping, the first title of the series with the same name, is unique in that teen readers can choose their own guy adventure for the character Kiki.
The third series, Perry Skky Jr., will appeal to African-American teens. The first title, Prime Choice, will publish in July. This series, written by Stephanie Perry Moore who also authored the popular Patton Skky series for girls, will have a Christian theme.
Popular NASCAR thrills fill the pages of Tyndale Kids' new RPM series by Chris Fabry, author of the Left Behind: The Kids series. Both boy and girls ages 10-14 will find this series a real page-turner as engines rev and Jamie Maxwell begins her dream of becoming the first female winner of the cup. Blind Spot sets the wheels in motion.
