Author Terri Farley begins a new series this June for HarperCollins, Phantom Stallion Wild Horse Island, set in lush Hawaii that once again brings a girl and her beautiful wild mustang together. Intermediate and middle school girls should love it.
The well-known author of Baby-Sitters' Club fame, Anne M. Martin, begins a new contemporary series for 8-12 year-old girls, Main Street, about two sisters who must move in with their grandmother after their parents' death.
Teen girls who love edgy, glamorous reads will like Celebutantes and The Nannie Novels, both from Delacorte.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Chapter Book series begins in May from Scholastic and is based on the hit Cartoon Network show, hot trading card game, and popular manga graphic novel series. Ages 7-10.
Intermediate readers will be pleased with these new additions: Atherton, Cronus Chronicles, Dragonsdale, Eidolon Chronicles, The Fog Mound, Gideon Trilogy, and M.T. Anderson's Thrilling Tales.

Easy Reader Series - Additions
March brings the first release of Level 1 titles for Pony Tales and Cave Dave. These stories feature easy-to-sound-out words, simple sentences, strong picture clues, and beginning sight words. New Level 2 titles, Clara the Klutz and The Fearless Four feature varied consonant combinations, longer sentences, and intermediate sight words. The Level 3 titles feature multi-syllabic words, complex vowel sounds, challenging story lines, and advanced sight words. Future publishing plans include two-to-three titles per level each year.
